Remembering George A. Shepley

April 30, 1922 - February 11, 2009

We want to acknowledge the passing of a dear friend.

George exemplified what it means to be a Community Banker.  He made an extraordinary contribution to Muscatine by simply believing in people.  The economic history of this successful community would be far different if George had not come here to lead First National Bank of Muscatine.

He was a man completely dedicated to his family, his country, his company, his friends, and his business associates.  Those of us privileged to work with him and learn from him are deeply enriched by that experience.

We will miss his smile and genuine love of people very much and will think of him often in the months and years ahead.
